Senior Accountant

We are in search of a sharp Sr. Accountant to join our Valley based client. This is a stellar opportunity with a well established company who is well-known for their ability to take care of their employees. Responsibilities:

• Manage internal financial reporting and accouting/reconciliation process
• Prepare, review and approve Balance Sheet account reconciliations
• Prepare and review financial variances analysis
• Prepare and approve journal entries with corresponding supporting analysis/documentation
• Ensure all work is done with SOX 404 requirements
• Assist in tax planning and compliance with federal, state, local and other applicable taxes.
• Strong focus on process improvement

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or Related Field1
• CPA highly preferred
• MBA preferred
• Minimum of 5-7 years of general accounting experience
• Experience with analysis and reconciliation of general ledger accounts
• Excellent knowledge of GAAP
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to see the whole picture
• Team player with the ability to work effectively independently as well
• High level of communication skills in order to interact with employees at all levels
