General Ledger Accountant
The GL Accountant will assist in the preparation of annual financial statements, the monthly close process and perform regular account analysis reports and reconciliations. This position will report to the accounting manager and will be a key part of the accounting team! Responsibilities:
- Maintain and balance the general ledger
- Assist in the monthly close process including entering journal entries, fixed asset depreciation and general ledger reconciliations
- Prepare state sales taxes
- Prepare reports and graphs for monthly financial book
- Assist in the annual audit and income tax preparation
- Assist in the annual financial plan
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related fields
- Minimum 3 years experience as staff accountant
- MBA or on track toward MBA preferred
- CPA preferred
- Strong knowledge and application of fundamental accounting principles
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to communicate with various levels of management
- Excellent research, analytical and problem solving skills
- Ability to identify opportunities and improve processess and procedures
